Random Thoughts at 3am: Why Do Potatoes Have to Be So Difficult?

No, this entry isn't REALLY about potatoes, though I do find them a tasty pain in the ass most of the time.  As random thoughts go, it would be nice if they would come with useful information.  Yep, that would be very nice.  But NOOOOOoooooo.  We can't have anything USEFUL show up out of the blue in our heads at 3am, now CAN we?  Ugh.

Many times I end up with insomnia due to FB drama.  In fact, I don't really spend all that much time on FB anymore because of one particular person, someone who is ALWAYS and UNENDINGLY (redundant, I know) on the opposite side of the fence when it comes to 99.5% of everything I think, talk about, post.  And he just can't seem to help himself and vomits about 10 comments to whatever it is I post about.  Now, to me, this just seems like a complete waste of time on his part.  If you don't agree with my point of view, beliefs, etc., then MOVE THE HELL ALONG, please and thank you!  Such a simple concept really---don't crap on someone's post just because you don't agree with them.

I don't mind NOT being on FB so much, actually.  It's been my experience that some people have very little self-control when it comes to FB drama.  Sometimes it's overt and in-your-face, which is what this one person does, and sometimes it's extremely passive-aggressive, which is really the worst kind of all but the easiest to ignore.  I've known this person and his wife for many years and frequent their place of business, so it's not like I can tell him to piss off or just block him.  It's a bit more complicated than that.  What I have been doing is completely ignoring his comments.  Yeah, I'm sure he's smug and feeling all proud of himself for 'having the last word,' but that's because he doesn't realize he's being ignored. lol  Kind of funny when you think about it.

In order to keep the stress and anxiety down I spend very little time on FB, as I've said.  I do have to go there because I'm an admin/mod on one of my son's groups.  Other than that the have-to visits to FB I've also taken to posting there---just to needle Mr. Negativity. lol  What I post is still relevant, and what I post are things I would post anyway, but honestly.... it's just a bonus that it needles Mr. Man enough to make him freak out. ;p  Some people are just too easy.

A better hang-out for me is Twitter.  Memes are few and far between and used for emphasis to their topic or statement.  Seems these days, on FB anyway, that memes just get splattered all over the page, replacing any actual thought or discussion.  Memes and videos.  I guess it wouldn't be so bad if people would SAY something other than "lol" or "lmao" in relation to the meme or video they post.  But as it currently stands... it just looks like very few people on FB have much to say.  At least on Twitter you learn quickly to make your post/tweet information-dense and on-point.  A lot seems to get said with very few words, and I have NO complaints about that.

I'm all spewed out at the moment... laters, taters! ;p

Divided We Fall

It's not just a cliche.

What a political storm we're in these days.  Hate and divisiveness on both sides.  But not EVERY presidential candidate is about division, and as you guys probably know by now.. my choice is Donald Trump.  I'm not going into all the why's and wherefores.. just know I've watched him throughout his career and KNOW he's been completely consistent in who and what he is, what he stands for.  Let's just leave it at that and focus on the subject I want to discuss....

Roger Ailes (Fox News) bashed Trump AND all of his supporters.  Bashed as in nasty, ugly, hateful and demeaning rhetoric that literally pissed of more people than you could imagine.  Of course, the horse-faced shrew, Megyn Kelly, was brought back on to moderate the 7th debate, with Ailes FULLY knowing that it would cause issues---and turn the debate into a political version of the Jerry Springer Show.  Trump said "NO" to the debate and decided to do a fundraiser for our veterans.  Trump's supporters immediately began tweeting that they would back him entirely on this!  And we DID!

Trump's event was a TOTAL success, earning some $6,000,000.00 for our veterans!  Trump put in $1,000,000.00 of his own money, just in case anyone is wondering.

Too late---Ailes called Trump and apologized for what he did, and Trump told him emphatically that he made a promise to the veterans to hold the charity rally... and that he was going to do exactly that.  See, what people don't understand is that Donald Trump DOES exactly what he says he'll do, and he's been that way throughout his entire career.  This is one major reason we supporters love him... because his word is gold.

Trump was ridiculed for his decision to skip the debate...

The bitter hatred and ugliness from Ted Cruz supporters was and IS UNBELIEVABLY vile in its delivery, with nasty, hateful tweets and posts on FB... in response to positive and uplifting tweets/posts regarding helping the veterans.  Only assholes would do such a thing, and boy are there a LOT of assholes out there!  And oddly, the democrats are not just playing it safe by not attacking Trump to this extent, but they're making a VERY strong political statement by refraining.  I mean, I'm a former Democrat turned Republican, and I will NEVER go back to that party, I promise.  But I have to say that I'm really shocked and saddened by the sheer numbers of "More-Conservative-than-thou" republicans who metamorphosed into political cannibals!  What the HELL is wrong with people these days?  And the Dems just sit back and watch the Republican party self-destruct.   Brilliant move on the Dems part, you have to admit.

SOME of the candidates refrain from the political cannibalism that seems SO popular these days.. so they can unite for a common cause. Such is with the case of Trump's charity rally last night.  He invited Huckabee and Santorum to the event and asked them to speak.  It was a BEAUTIFUL thing to see, FINALLY to see members of the republican party BEHAVE like republicans, like decent human beings.  All the ugliness and bashing and hatred was happening, but it was happening elsewhere... most of it coming from a disingenuous Ted Cruz.

Honestly, I would love to see a Trump/Huckabee ticket, personally. But seriously... was such an impressive and moving event.  And to tell you the truth, I'm not even sure why Huckabee is low on the polls.  He's a stand-up guy with great policies.  Still, would be nice if Trump would bring him on for VP....

Meanwhile, back at the RNC.... Republican elitists, those 'more-concervative-than-thou' bullies all look like a bunch of brawling, desperate fools, while democratic front runners are sitting back quietly and watching the show.   Because they're (the Dems) aren't fighting amongst themselves. But there's genius in that, because what they're doing is stepping back and letting the republican party tear itself apart.. candidate by candidate, and with liberal media help.

Wake the hell up, America!!!  UNITY, people! We ALL lose if we're divided!  Stop tearing each other apart---and this has to happen with candidates AND voters!

Trump Supporter Kambree destroys National Review

I'm posting this across my blogs, because this woman speaks for SO many of us.  The original video she made is a lot longer than this, but this gets to the key points directly.  She speaks for SO many of us....

A Big Day for US(A) and Donald Trump supporters

I want to start by saying I feel really bad for Cruz supporters.  They want so much to believe in him, that he's honest and forthright... and in the face of overwhelming evidence proving he's neither, they cling tightly to their illusions/delusions.

I'm imagining by now you guys realize my choice of presidential candidates is Donald Trump.  I've made it no secret, and I stand by my choice.  So having heard that there's a major announcement today, said to happen during his 3rd speaking engagement today, the rally this evening.  A lot of us have speculated as to what it could be, but that's all it is.. speculation.  Well, the suspense is killing me, I have to admit.

One of the theories is that Sarah Palin will be announcing her support of DT.  Well, I will be perfectly honest about this---at first, AT FIRST... I really couldn't stand Sarah Palin.  Her running with McCain previously didn't shed her in the best light... at least not to me.  She, I'm assuming, parroted what she was supposed to say, etc., etc., etc... according to the McCain advisors, managers, etc.  But one of the biggest things that turned me off about her was her advocating the killing of wolves, killing the mothers and pups, and calling it okay, necessary, even needed.  I disagreed then, and I disagree NOW.  Having said that, I'm trying really hard here to give her a second chance.  She has no idea what that's taking for me to do this.

So without knowing what this big announcement is, I'm steeling myself for the possibility that rumors are right, that Sarah Palin will be endorsing Trump.  Some are even calling, I will add, for a Trump/Palin ticket.  I'm not sure I"m on board with that, but the jury is still out.  I'm keeping an open mind here and just waiting FIRST to hear what the announcement is before deciding how I feel about this whole Sarah Palin thing.

Haters.  They're everywhere, right?  And more so when it comes to election times.  The attacks on candidates and their supporters can be quite vicious.  Seems ridiculous, really, but it's the way it is.  I can handle haters and basically laugh them off, block them, or otherwise ignore most of their rhetoric.  It's really a good idea to move along and past the garbage in order to keep one's focus on the big picture.

So what is the big picture?  Basically it boils down to two very important components---we either have more of Obama's policies being carried out in the WH (Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton), or we have someone who is completely independent of super pacs and anyone at all who may have paid enough money to a candidate to have control.  And trust me, big money from donors means control.

Most of us are sick of the controlling politicians, the owns owned by their donors, the ones who lie and hate and use bashing and mudslinging, more than showing any of us what they can do for the country to make it better.  Ted Cruz=bought and owned by super pacs, caught in lies time and time again.  Bernie Sanders=socialist and 'crazy grandpa.'  Hillary Clinton=CRIMINAL.  Rubio=really too young and soft to be an effective POTUS.  And trust me, those are just the highlights and by no means is it a complete list.

I don't have to explain my choices, because I live in a country that, despite Obama's attempts, I can still voice my opinion, HAVE an opinion, and exercise my right to choose who I vote for.

I've made my choice, and now I'm excited about what this big announcement is that's coming tonight.  I'll be watching the live streaming, as I usually do, and... well, we'll see what happens.

Not Okay, Cruz! NOT okay!

Thoughts and ramblings post-debate?  Well, I wasn't going to, but the behavior of a couple of those candidates last night ticked me off to no end, more specifically that meat-puppet Ted Cruz.  As if it weren't irritating enough to listen to his over-rehearsed comments and replies laden with what he obviously thought were 'effective pauses,' he added the stereotypical chopping hand movements that were, honestly, laughable.  He was a cliche from beginning to end.

But the worst part of it all was his continuing to bash New Yorkers.  I mean, REALLY?  Do you HONESTLY think that you can belittle and insult and entire state like that and still believe people see you as 'presidential'?  WHAT an IDIOT!  I'm not a New Yorker, but when he started with the NY crap... I was DONE listening to his mouth run.  By the end of that debate.. I couldn't STAND the sound of his voice.  He's a damn fool.

I honestly can't believe anyone would support that guy.  He isn't speaking from the heart, and he's OWNED by super pacs, who pay him lavishly to be their puppet.  And look like a puppet he did, too. I don't think I'll ever get those choppy hand movements out of my mind.  In fact, it reminds me of that AT&T commercial....  Thing is, this fake politician looks more genuine than Cruz ever will be, and for good reason.  There's NOTHING genuine about Ted Cruz AT ALL!

For those who've left comments here.... THANK YOU!

So it seems comment notifications haven't been working in a VERY long time, so if you've left comments and I didn't reply please know it's because I didn't realize anyone had left any.  Blogger seems to have fixed this.. for now.

I appreciate everyone's feedback, more than I can find words to describe really.  I guess, with the exception of those I know 'in person,' or those who contact me via social networking or email, etc., I often wonder if I'm just shouting or whispering into the wind here.

It was my hope that sharing my own experiences would help others, or make people laugh, or think... well, then it's all well worth it, especially with regards to "This Free Spirit," which was created to help work my way to a healing place post-abuse and hoping to help others along the way know they're not alone.

So again, if you've left comments on any of the entries on any of the blogs and I haven't respond.. I will.  And hopefully Blogger's notification system re comments will continue to work!

Blessings and thanks to all of you...

Human Experiment No.1: Why liberals bug the crap out of me.

I'm not a liberal.  I USED to be, or thought I was anyway.  But basically it all just rather boiled down to my not really understanding the position I was taking while subscribing to that... whateveritis.  And yeah, I did get it eventually, once I was able to sit and talk with someone who not only made calm, perfect sense, but helped me understand a few things and did so in a way that wasn't insulting.

In the past, when a conservative friend or family member tried to sway me on the issue, most of the time they failed epically, because to be honest.. I simply stop hearing people when they hurl (haha not a typo) insults directly at me as a person.  I mean, really?  Who honestly think that works?  Well, I'm here to say.. it doesn't.

Fast-forward to present-day...

Now, I'm not saying either side is perfect, because I've met some SERIOUSLY hateful conservatives in my day.  But within this election time I've been seeing some pretty nasty stuff from the left that reaches across the board; Meaning that it's a solid 100% thus far.  Why?

Who cares, really.  None of this has to have anything at all to do about elections and choosing candidates, etc.  Because we're talking about PEOPLE here.  People don't CHANGE during election times, they just begin to show their true colors and can't seem to reign it in very well.

Am I innocent in this?  HELL NO.  I'm honest, though, and I will admit that the liberal mindset isn't based on anything rational.  Yep, that's my opinion.  Doesn't mean I hate the person, but it does mean I hate their agendas and what they stand for.  But no worries, they pretty much hate me (a conservative) even more.  So I guess you can say it balances itself out.

My biggest problem these days with libs is that they love to perpetuate lies and spread them like some political venereal disease.  As for me, I practice safe voting and am not in any danger of contracting 'liberalism.'  It's all smoke and mirrors anyway, and the people standing with their hand out is going to find themselves still standing with their hand out because NONE of the people they think are going to give them "free" stuff aren't going to give them shit.

"Free stuff."  That old geezer Bernie Sanders, socialist whack-job, is one sad example of what liberals seem to gravitate towards.  He's like the cantankerous old fart who lives in the weird house at the end of the street, the one that scowls at people behind their backs.  He brings nothing but empty promises to the table, and those libs eat that stuff up.

Sorry Bernie, but I'm not 'feeling the Bern' and never will.

Wether on FB or Twitter, the liberal craziness is everywhere.  Sorry, but not sorry.. anyone who still thinks Barrack Hussein Obama is a good president, or even a good guy is completely off their rocker. Now, mind you.. I actually voted for him the first time.  Why?  Because I was in a terrible place in my life, very sick and with no health insurance, struggling to maintain my life with failing health and thought maybe, just maybe this guy was telling the truth.  Maybe, I thought, maybe I will get health insurance and get my life back.  Nope.  I was completely wrong.

I also had a friend at the time who basically sold me on Obama.  While the rational part of the US, the conservatives, were all saying no one knows anything about Obama and he was bad news.. I still didn't get it.  My friend worked tirelessly to win me over to his way of thinking.  My friend, btw, I rarely EVER talk to now since he got involved with the Occupy movement.  He completely slipped off the map when that happened, and he assimilated himself within a VERY crazy group of people, all who are about as 'militant' as it gets while screaming to the world that they're "tolerant."  Don't EVEN get me started on that.

I'm a Trump supporter.  I'm not going to go into all they why's and wherefores, because it would take too damn long.  I've watched DT's career for so long and know enough about his past, what he's done to help people throughout his life, and.. so much more.. that I know he's the right guy.  Not only that, but I'm ELATED he has opened people's eyes to the dangers of the PC mindset.  I like his bluntness and know that this is the way he's been throughout his career and that it's not an act.  This is really the way he is, and like so many conservatives out there... I LOVE that about him.  His books, past interviews from WAY back, are all consistent to how he thinks and what he believes, etc.  The man loves this country.  He used to be a democrat, and over the years has changed his view.  THIS is supposed to be a GOOD thing, yet the libs and liberal slanted media all tried to take him down about this one fact, a fact he didn't lie about or hide in the least.  I mean, what's wrong with people?  Well, Donald Trump isn't an establishment guy and that scares the living daylights out of the media (most), and terrifies libs because they think they won't get 'free' stuff anymore.

Oh, and btw.. there is no such thing as "free."  Someone pays, and it's the working class who does so. Whether you make a lot of money, or little money, if you're a millionaire or your income is in the middle-class range.. YOU are the one who pays for the so-called 'free stuff' that Sanders and Clinton (she's a damn criminal) promises.

Okay, enough about that.  My point is simple this: Liberals are rarely ever honest, rarely (if ever) do their own research to obtain facts before they go on the attack.  I have no respect for people like that, and I never ever will.

One last thing.. SO many libs have switched parties because of Donald Trump.  People are finally seeing the corruption from the left and aren't okay with it anymore.  There's more to their switch, but I'm not going to go into all of that.

So... how about that for stepping across the threshold?  I'm not afraid to talk about controversial topics, so put on your big girl/big boy panties and hang on!  Or don't wear any panties at all...

Premature Wad-Blowing on Simon's Part. At least he apologized!

You know, it's a little representative what Simon did.  Liberals have taken up the Simon mentality and have become the world's critics.  Claiming 'tolerance' they ejaculate their hate upon anyone, anywhere, and for the dumbest reasons.  Screw 'em.  Haters suck.  Maybe they need a little blue pill for their personality problems, because from where I'm sitting.. they all look flaccid, impotent, and bitter.
